Signed up...but I'm definitely not ready. My body HURTS. The more I train the more I hurt. The more I hurt the more poorly I train. I'm struggling with White and Blue belts 50lbs lighter. I'm struggling to execute basic positions. Today a 17year old White Belt tapped me 4 times in one 6 minute round. 3 of those submissions were from kesa gatame chest pressure. My head is not in the game.
Well first, that's not just ANY 17 year old white belt! Dude is a serious judoka and even more serious high school wrestler. More generally, maybe it's a nutrition issue?
ReplyDeleteHa. Thanks Joe. Still. The kid tapped me three times from Kesa Gatame pressure alone. He didn't even have a joint hold or a choke. I couldn't breath and my neck was tweaked. Ridiculous! Ha ha. Ok I'm taking some time off triathlon training. I'll try to train BJJ 3-4x per week and will focus on eating better. I want to drop 10lbs to make Heavy for MS Worlds. We'll see...
